1. Confirm Your Eligibility

You’ll need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or global equivalent
  • AND 23 hours of project management education.

2. Take the Training

Apply on PMI.org
  • Log in and select the CAPM application
  • Enter your education and training details
  • Submit your application and wait for approval (usually just a few days!)
Register for the Exam
  • Pay the exam fee (PMI members save!)
  • Choose your format: in-person at a Pearson VUE center or online proctored
  • Schedule a test date that works for you.

5. Pass the Exam!

Your hard work is about to pay off. The CAPM exam includes:

  • 150 multiple-choice questions
  • A 3-hour time limit
